What is Tether?
Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin that aims to hold its value at one US dollar. It is issued by the company Tether, which states that it holds reserves for every USDT in circulation. It is issued on many blockchains, including Ethereum and Tron.
Crypto exchanges use it as a stand-in for the dollar. That is why USDT's lira price stays very close to the dollar rate; the small gap reflects supply and demand on crypto exchanges. The USDT price is not a bank or exchange-office rate.

Why does the USDT price differ from the dollar rate?
